The company's return to the Superbike World Championship is long overdue. The series remains the affluent with people like Aprilia, BMW, Ducati, Honda, Kawasaki, and Suzuki all compete in the series, but Yamaha absence since placing second season has left a huge void in WSBK. Yamaha Yamaha Racing did not dive into the specifics of his decision to return, but every motor racing fans can see that YZF R1 performance in other racing classes this season, including winning the 8 hours of Suzuka in July 2015, is one of the biggest reasons why the team is now ready to return to RACING. Even a MotoGP bike version, YZF-M1 has been shredding the competition in the top-class, encouraging the riders Valentino Rossi and Jorge Lorenzo to the top two places in the standings MotoGP 2015.

The team now hopes that it can build on the momentum that has been created this year in other racing classes and let go of everything that has been learned in the Superbike World Championship in 2016.

It is true that Yamaha has never been more successful in the Superbike World Championship. In fact, in the 28 years of the series, Yamaha has only won once (2009), both from Ducati's Note 17 WSBK title. But what happened in the past either here nor there now that we have seen what Yamaha YZF-R1 capable. New bike-racing team has done very well in other classes this season and with years of racing under his belt, there's no telling how well the Yamaha would be when the YZF-R1 joined the grid in the 2016 season.

I would like to say that this will be different than the perennial underachiever Yamaha during the first run at WSBK. This definitely has the bike, rider and the technology becomes a real threat to the title. But I'm holding my judgment for now because there are still so many questions that need to be answered before and after the end of the season. Jonathan Rea is on his way to winning the title the first Kawasaki WSBK so I had to take that into consideration. Even King questioned Ducati, WSBK, have not won a series since 2011, lost for Aprilia from 2012 to 2014 and the Kawasaki this season.
